From reading the introduction and vision you should have a pretty clear idea of what we’re doing, how we’re doing it and what we intend to manifest. As an example of our diversity we offer this space where we have each contributed the “why” as well as the more personal goals.
Surrender... Has been and still remains the essential lesson of living with nature the way we are.
I trust Khula Dhamma to become, in time, a place where people will be born, exist and die in the most harmonious surroundings without having any pressure or conditioning about how they should live.
No need to express how dysfunctional the world can appear to be these days due to ignorance... We have chosen to know... where our water comes from... what our power sources are... what food we are nourishing our soul and body with... An ancient Native American prophecy said that if you know how your basic needs are fulfilled, you may live and understand the cosmos with more clarity... Well, I trust we are on the way!

With the flow of the moons and the passing of experience, it was somewhat of an unexpected surprise and most fortunate stumbling to have come to live here at Khula Dhamma. With the perfect timing of a creative universe I arrived here 2 months before my baby was to be born. To a complete welcoming to home. What a choice to have the birth here and with this guidance, to remain here as both my daughter and I grow, in this whole and simple environment .
I am blessed to be here now… every day I have many moments where I can stop mid-whatever and say “WOW this is amazing, we live in paradise!”
To awaken in this quiet place, to hear the nature sounds – busy and alive in such a peaceful way, brings me deep contentment and knowing that I have most fortunately come to live in this place.
Just to be able to open the tap and know that I’ll be able to drink the crystal clear water, reminds me that the simple life is full of rewards!
Again, it’s a blessing to reap the fruits of a well-worked garden.
I am learning and still have much to learn and as much as I am a traveling spirit, I find myself quite happily grounded and still here.
Its here where the hustling bustle and constant outer distractions of our contemporary modern living have been almost completely subdued, that I find the opportunity to reflect and the mirror to myself clearing.
Most importantly to have chosen to share this home with my like-minded brothers and sisters and grow a community where many will find similar peace, where we can learn from and live in accordance with Nature and intentionally live a life of lesser impact on the earth ~ And of course share all these lessons with each other as each individual brings light to a different aspect of the circle.

Deeply touched by the Buddha's teachings, I imagine a place that would help us all to feel home again.
With great gratitude and respect for all those who point out the Natural Laws, like for example ceaseless change, simple acts like quietly observing the body & mind with a half-smile, nursing gardens, preparing and enjoying her beautiful fruits, building shelters with many natural materials, running small farm-style businesses, helping others in and the celebrating of doing all this... and more, would help us in creating that place.
Letting go of sensuous desires, opinions, rites & rituals and the sturdy belief in a soul, through acting mindfully, rising in love and understanding, we could live in harmony and experience the co-creation of the world, of our universe, of consciousness, of our home.
I find Khula Dhamma is such a place!

It has been said that the emergence of the eco-village movement was the most significant event of the 20th century. I see this movement not only as the most (if not only?) viable solution for today’s fragmented and self-consuming society, but more transcendently, as a chrysalis network for the birthing of a New Culture that, with the exploration of consciousness at its core, will seek to invent and re-invent all aspects of social living to form the most colourful, harmonious and meaningful existence that human beings are capable of. I also have a strong feeling the co-creating with Nature Spirits and Devas will form in integral part of this evolutionary shift.
Indeed I believe the little haven that we are creating, with our own joyful sweat and toil and gentle patience, will in time (hopefully in time ;) be among the flourishing examples of how humanity can live in harmony, co-creating with Nature and each other. TRULY CELEBRATING THE INNER AND OUTER WORLDS IN ALL THEIR COLOUR AND IMMENSITY.
