Synopsis
In light of the ongoing influx of e-mails and phone calls we are receiving here at Khula Dhamma Community (KDC), it is becoming increasingly clear that there is a mounting demand for guidance and support on the path to conscious and ecological living.
Our calling to serve humankind and Gaia, in the best way we can, has thus crystallised: To actively facilitate and nurture the movement towards conscious, natural and community-based living. To create the platform, we are inspired to found a Learning, Healing and Resource Centre designed to share skills and understanding with others who seek to restore the Earth and her people. By initiating and hosting a wide variety of innovative workshops, courses, retreats and conferences that promote personal and cultural transformation, we aim to explore creative solutions to the challenges of our time.
To help manifest this vision we have conceived of a way for sympathetic kindred spirits to wilfully move their own lives into more spiritual and eco-friendly directions, while simultaneously becoming directly involved in the evolution of one of South Africa’s pioneering ecovillages.
By building a learning centre in the heart of our community we intend to expand upon our vision of sharing the essential experiences and joys of ecovillage living within the very environment they are practiced and celebrated. Accordingly, we call this endeavour and the centre itself: Home Of Providence & Ecoliving or HOPE.
In short, we are inviting your financial assistance- but not without giving something in return… By offering an opportunity to show your support for our vision of a learning centre, we hope to create a relationship that illustrates our mutually beneficial interdependence. We trust you will appreciate the true value of our offer- both for yourself and the Greater Good.
Our proposal is that in return for your magnanimous monetary backing we will offer you a variety of options to reap the benefits of the Learning Centre that you helped to establish. By “investing” in HOPE you become a “benefactor” and will be offered a “Gratitude Package” …
